PJ Harvey Slays at Stubb’s

PJ Harvey brought her long-awaited show to Stubb’s Amphitheater on April 28, 2017. Taking the stage with no opening act, the atmosphere was stark with white and blue lighting that barely shifted in hue. The set list was heavy on works from her last two albums – 2016’s “The Hope Six Demolition Project” and 2011’s “Let England Shake”. The sold-out crowd didn’t seem to care, basking in the aura and nuanced presence of the British art-rock icon.

Set List: Chain of Keys, The Ministry of Defence, The Community of Hope, The Orange Monkey, A Line in the Sand, Let England Shake, The Words That Maketh Murder, The Glorious Land, Medicinals, When Under Ether, Dollar, Dollar, The Devil, The Wheel, The Ministry of Social Affairs, 50ft Queenie, Down by the Water, To Bring You My Love, River Anacostia Encore: Guilty, Is This Desire?
